Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce {Review + Giveaway}

I did a review on Country Bob’s before, but I wanted to do another post on ways you can use country bobs and share some recipes I found on the internet.

This sauce really is amazing and when you try it, you will know why. It is so versatile! I also love that it is Gluten Free. I do not have a gluten allergy, but someone dear to me does and she tells me all the time how hard it is to find gluten free foods that taste good. Let me tell you, Country Bob’s is amazing! It definitely tastes good!

all-purpose-sauce_1

Most of these recipes come from the Country Bob’s Website. When I have used it, I have found that it makes awesome hamburgers, BBQ sauce for chicken and I love dipping steak fries in it.

Here are some amazing ways to use Country Bob’s!

What I really adore about Country Bob’s is their faith in God. I love that they proudly display that Christ is their CEO on the website and every bottle of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce. Just look what is on the website. It is so amazing to see a company that professes faith.

It would be nice if we could claim responsibility for the success of the company, however, credit must be given where credit is due. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.” We have placed true ownership of Country Bob, Inc. in the hands of God. “Christ is our CEO” and He is an Awesome Boss!

Country Bob’s has also agreed to allow 2 winners on my blog win a bottle of their very own Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce to get you started on your own recipes! Just enter using the Rafflecopter form below! This giveaway ends 01/25.

20 Mule Team Borax {Review and Giveaway}

Until recently, I had always wondered about Borax. I had seen it in the stores, humbly nestled in with the laundry supplies, but had no idea what it was used for. Then I found out you could make your own AMAZING laundry soap with it!

Borax

One of the reasons I was so hesitant to try it was I used to be so stuck in my ways. I was not willing to try anything that may deviate from them and I was afraid I would buy something that I had no use for.

If you don’t know what Borax is, it is a naturally occurring mineral from the earth. It happens when evaporation of seasonal lakes occurs. Borax is just another name for sodium tetraborate. If you are worried that 20 Mule Team Borax has extras in it, you needn’t. It has absolutely no added chemicals chlorine or phosphates added. Its as pure as what you would find on the ground. All they do is wash it, dry it and box it up!

Not only can you use 20 Mule Team Borax for making laundry soap, you can also just use it as a laundry booster for removing stains. It works by softening hard water and allowing deposits on your clothing to lift and keeps them from re-depositing on your clothing.

In addition to laundry, you can also use Borax to:

  • Deodorize your garbage can. Just sprinkle some in the bottom!
  • Soak Cloth diapers in a solution of warm water and 1 cup 20 Mule Team Borax
  • Cat litter deodorizer. Sprinkle some in with your cat’s litter
  • Clean rust stains with a paste of lemon juice and borax
  • Keeps fleas and pests away. Sprinkle of carpet and vacuum
  • Clean the toilet with it. Add 1/4 cup to the water and let sit for 30 minutes. Scrub it clean!
  • Help baked on food come off easier with this soak: add two tablespoons to the water and it will come off easier after a bit of soak time.

I highly suggest you check out my Laundry Soap recipe and make some for yourself. You will be amazed at not only have clean it gets your clothing, but also how much money you will save! Check out the Store locator on where to buy 20 Mule Team Borax! It shouldn’t be too hard to find since it is sold in pretty much every store in my area.

Purex Baby { Review + Giveaway}

When my daughter, who is now almost 10 (wow, time flies with kids, doesn’t it?), was just a baby, I was so worried about her skin. She had little patches of eczema on her wrists, elbows and knees. I didn’t know what to use to help her skin and I didn’t know there was special detergent for babies.

Introducing Purex Baby, new from the makers of Purex. Purex Baby is specially formulated to be hypoallergenic and gentle on a bay’s sensitive skin. I wish I had this when my daughter was a baby! I used Purex in the past because it cleans so well and comes at a great price, making it economical and smart.

100_3399

You will still get the same bright clean clothing with Purex Baby as you would expect from Purex.

I used it on my daughter’s clothing even now since she still suffers from eczema. She has not had a breakout for a while, but Purex Baby is a great way for me to make sure she stays that way. Purex Baby would be great to use for anyone with allergies and sensitive skin.

Purex Baby would like to let 3 readers of Saved By Grace win a free bottle of Purex Baby! Just enter on the Rafflecopter form below for your chance to win a free bottle. Make sure you check out the store locator since Purex Baby is so new and may not be available at a store near you, yet. Also, make sure you check out my Giveaway terms and conditions! Corn-n-Tater {Review + Giveaway}

I don’t often cook in the microwave, not even popcorn. I pretty much use my microwave for one thing only; thawing food. The main reason is because I just am kind of a picky eater. I don’t like how the microwave heats things up unevenly and things like bread get hard and dried out. I was thrilled to be asked to review a great product called the Corn N Tater.

100_3349

The Corn N Tater is a cotton and bamboo bag that helps hold food’s moisture in so it cooks more evenly and more delicious! It is simple to use and you can wash it in the washer and air dry.

To use it, you simply add the food you want in (everything from potatoes to breakfast sandwiches) and wrap a damp paper towel around the food to be cooked and slip it in the Corn N Tater. Pop it in the microwave for the recommended cooking time (included) and rotate as it cooks.

100_3351 100_3352 100_3354

I used mine for baked potatoes. I have a pretty old microwave and it takes around 20 minutes to cook a potato in it normally. With the Corn N Tater, it took around 8 minutes. The recommended time for a potato was half that, but like I said, my microwave is ancient. I would rather cook for less than half the time than normal, though! Look how tasty my tater came out!

100_3355

I loved how it came with a recipe book and they even put my blog’s information on it and logo! That was such a great personal touch!

100_3350

Pros:

Cooks very evenly and is so simple a child could use it. I loved the way it held moisture in and made my food taste like it came from the oven or stove and not a microwave. It really lives up to it’s promises! I loved the personal touch of the cookbook with my blog’s logo and information. I also liked the fun pattern on it and how easy it was to clean. This will make healthy eating a breeze!

Cons:

I couldn’t get a picture of it, but I noticed the pattern kind of bled when it was wet. It didn’t get on the food, but I was somewhat disappointed. I also wish there would have been more recipes and food varieties included in the recipe book and cook times.

Verdict:

I love it! This will make me want to try cooking in the microwave again!

To Purchase:

Disney’s Epic Mickey 2 {Review and Giveaway}

I have always loved Disney. One memorable vacation I had as a child was a trip to Disney World the summer between my kindergarten and first grade year. I remember outfits I wore (a bright neon pink shirt with shorts that had neon colored fish on it) and I remember the first time I saw the Epcot Center.

I was so excited when I was contacted to review the brand new game from Disney called Epic Mickey 2.

Club Penguin’s Coins For Change

It’s interesting how old I feel sometimes. I remember a time when getting on the computer was a reward with a green screen and DOS programming. It was getting to play “Oregon Trail” if I did well in math class.

Now days, Kids are almost born with a tablet, laptop or computer. Club Penguin has been around for a while, but while my daughter begged to get on it, I was unsure about letting her interact with others online. I was then offered some free membership time on there in exchange for a review. I decided that she would be thrilled with that and decided to allow it. In case you hadn’t heard, Club Penguin is a Disney social platform for kids.

Upon joining Club Penguin, the Child gets to choose what color their penguin will be and a username. They must have their accounts linked to a parent’s email. I liked this extra safety feature.

As the child plays his or her penguin in the interface, they can change the clothes the penguin wears and play games , all while interacting with kids all over the world. Some of the games and clothes cost coins. The child can earn coins while playing games.

Club Penguin has a program that launches December 20th and runs through January 2, 2024 named “Coins For Change”

Coins For Change allows players to decide where the $1 Million dollar donation will go! Your child will love being able to make a difference in the world with thier virtual donation of the coins they earn to Club Penquins “Coins For Change”.

Kids love to feel empowered, and with Club Penguin’s Coins For Change, they can really make a difference just by playing games online and interacting on a great website made just for kids!

Del Monte wants you to “Add Some Garden” to your meals!

I have always been a strange person when it comes to vegetables. Even as a kid, I loved peas, green beans, and even the notorious kid’s most hated: Broccoli.

Del Monte, maker of fine canned goods such as fruits and vegetables, wants to help you add some garden to your meals! It is super simple to use Del Monte brand canned vegetables and fruit to make your meals special! I was sent an assortment of canned foods to use to add some garden to my meals here. I was sent** Del Monte’s corn, green beans, diced tomatoes, peaches and pears. I was able to come up with several recipes online and at home that used these simple ingredients along with the $25 Visa gift card I was given!

For Del Monte’s Diced Tomatoes, I used them in my spaghetti recipe. Although the recipe listed on here does not list exact amounts of ingredients, I will give you a hint on the diced tomatoes-I used 2 cans of Del Monte Diced Tomatoes in my recipe.

Kidz Gear Headphones {2012 Holiday Gift Guide Review + Giveaway)

Kids love music. At least my kid does. She has no choice though since I have raised her around it since she was born. Even when she was in my womb, I used to play music for her and I even went dancing at non-smoking clubs all the way up until I had her.

“Never mind me! I’m just a very pregnant lady gettin’ down!”

I was so happy to find Kidz Gear! They are headphones in the hottest “DJ style” that are made especially for kids.

What is so special about them is they are not only fitted for a child’s head, but they also [Read more...]

Wee Forest Folk {Review + Giveaway}

I have always loved little trinkets, especially those that depict animals in human-like form.

The folks at Wee Forest Folk have done just that to my delight. I love the name of the company, as it describes just what they are. The tiniest little creatures of the woods often are little mice. The way they often move around so fast, they do almost appear to be incredibly busy with their little mouse chores. Wee Forest Folk shows us an adorable inside look at the fantasy world of what these buy little creatures could be up to with a little imagination.

wee forest folk

I was sent a Wee Forest Folk mouse of my own to review and treasure. The little cutie I received was a mouse in a stocking with a hat and a tag that says “Santa” attached. It is only about an inch and a half tall.Don’t let my bad picture fool you. These are absolutely well made and detailed completely!

Each lovingly detailed mouse miniature starts as a hand carved clay figure that is cast and sent off to be made in the “mouse factory”. Each and every miniature is hand painted by talented artists and are one of a kind.

Wee Forest Folk is a family owned business in Carlisle, MA. The company has been around for 40 years!

There are so many mice to collect!

After looking at the website, I would love to own several of the pieces. My husband would love the mouse in the VW beetle :)

Wee Forest Folk would make delightful gifts this Christmas season.

The generous folks at Wee Forest Folk have offered to give one lucky reader of Saved By Grace a Wee Forest Folk miniature in a Christmas design. This giveaway ends 12/15. (approx. $90 ARV)
