Beecology Honey and Bee Natural Products {Holiday Gift Guide 2012 Review}

I love honey. It is nature’s wonderful, versatile gift.

You can eat it to sweeten just about anything and for a long time it has been used for many natural remedies from skin to coughs. (Did you know a tablespoon of honey will help quiet a cough?)

I was very excited to try Beecology and their wonderful, natural line of products. I was sent a Natural Honey and Peppermint Body Wash, Buzz Balm Peppermint Lip Balm, Original Honey Hand and Body Cream, and Honey Oatmeal Peppermint Body Soap.

The first item I tried was [Read more...]

Tagger Bags {Holiday Gift Guide}

While I am a huge purse fan, you could really say I am a huge bag fan. I love customizing things as well.

With Tagger Bags, you can “build” your own bag that is uniquely yours from strap color, to flap and size. You can build messenger bags and even backpacks.

I built my own messenger bag. You choose the bag, flap and strap. I picked the original messenger bag size. It says it will easily fit a 15′ laptop.

Tagger bags have removable straps and flaps that you can change out depending on your mood. I chose a Rastafari Flap and I was also sent a Mikado Flap as well. I got a green strap.

The Tagger bag is easy to customize with a huge selection of [Read more...]

LivyBelt ™ {Review}

My daughter has an issue with what is commonly called “high waters” when she wears pants. I completely understand because this is an issue I have always faced.

I was excited to try the Olive & Nell LivyBelt ™ because it is made to help with this issue as well as help with the issue of the waistband having gaps.

I was sent three different types of the Olive & Nell LivyBelt ™ to review. They are very cute and well constructed. I loved the soft, satiny material.

I was hoping they [Read more...]

Buy Now or Never (Holiday Gift Guide 2012 + Giveaway)

I was introduced to a new online store recently and was so happy to come across the bargains there.

I had forever wanted an infinity scarf for the upcoming winter season and I found just what I wanted on Buy Now or Never.

Buy Now or Never takes the work out of bargain shopping this holiday season. You can find all kinds of deals on Jewelry, handbags, and even furniture. I was sent a couple items to review the quality, customer service and value at Buy Now or Never. I am happy to report that I was very happy with all of the above.

I wanted to show off my infinity scarf. It is in a color I have been recently really falling in love with: Grey. I love the Loose Weave Chrochet Infinity Scarf I found for only $14.00. This is a screaming deal as I have seen similar scarves for a much higher price. The scarf is warm, soft and goes great with a multitude of outfits.

Man Cave Soapworks Shave Soap {Review}

In days of past, men used to use shave soap instead of the modern shave cream. I had no idea what the difference is, mostly because I don’t shave my face. ;) However, my husband said there was a huge difference. He told me that shave soap was better at moisturizing than the gel or cream.

He tried the shave soap from ManCave Soapworks in the scent “James Musk” and loved it. In order to use shave soap, he needed a brush and I found one online, but ManCave Soapworks sells awesome full sets as well.

Using shave soap is as simple as wetting the brush and working [Read more...]

Mohawk Home Rugs {Review}

I have reviewed for Mohawk before, but I just can’t say enough about their wonderful products. That is why I was so excited when they agreed to not only allow me to review for them again, but do another giveaway! (Stay Tuned!)

Mohawk Homes products are made right here in the USA. That’s the way it was when they first started production and it is still that way today. In this economy, I really have to tip my proverbial hat to companies that do this.

Last time, I used a room rug to accent a hard wood floor. It added both comfort and beauty and now that it is colder outside, I really see the great impact having a rug on my cold floor is having.

This time around, I tried a room rug in my bedroom. My bedroom is carpeted, and it is not stained in any way, but I recently started trying to stick with a color scheme in there of browns, teals/greens and cream/tan. I found the perfect rug from Mohawk to do just that. I am still amazed with how much adding a carpet has really enhanced the room. I feel more relaxed and oddly enough, my room feels more sophisticated.

One problem I noticed with a rug on top of carpet is what I refer to use “annoying as heck bunching”. The rug would get lumps and folds in it and no matter how many times I straightened it, vacuumed it or tried to solve the problem by repositioning it, I would find this annoying occurrence. Mohawk solved the problem for me with their rug to carpet pad. It arrived quickly and it was easy to install. I just rolled the rug out of the room, placed one side under the rug and one side on the carpet. I have not had a problem with the “Annoying as heck bunching” since!

As someone who has owned a Mohawk Home rug since this summer in a high traffic area, I can attest that these rugs are amazingly well crafted. I am extremely impressed with the craftsmanship. When getting your home ready for the busy holiday season, I suggest you consider getting Mohawk Home rug to make your home a welcoming place for your guests.

Psst..Mohawk products make great gifts as well!

ReUsies ™ {Review + Giveaway}

As I make the move to more greener ways to live, one thing I needed to find a way to do that with was my use of sandwich bags.

ReUsies ™ to the Rescue!

I love how these bags can save me from throwing away tons of plastic sandwich bags over a lifetime. I found them to be durable and I loved how easy they were to care for. They have a nylon leak resistant lining that works with a variety of foods. When I was done, I just hand washed and left ot out to dry. They can also be tossed in the washer and dryer as well as the dishwasher. ReUsies ™ are 100% cotton.

ReUsies ™ come in a variety of designs. The one I got was super brilliant in color and I thought it was fun as well.

I think these would make a great gift for just about anyone looking to go a little greener. When my daughter was a toddler, she would have loved having her own special designed bags for all her little snacks.

I found ReUsies ™ to be well made and I can see them as being durable and long lasting.

ReUsies ™ has offered to give one reader of Saved By Grace a set of two in the design of their choice! Just enter on the Rafflecopter widget below!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Cricut Mini {Holiday Gift Guide}

I was so excited to be given the opportunity to try out the Cricut Mini. The Cricut Mini is a cutting device for crafts that can cut through all sorts of things from paper to fabric and even vinyl.

cricut mini

My husband is excited to try it out on vinyl. He wants to make his own t-shirts and sweatshirts with designs on them. We went to the craft store to get supplies. They make this iron on heat transfer vinyl and we plan on using it in the Cricut but it was too expensive at the time with the holidays just coming upon us. [Read more...]

Starlooks Starbox {November Review}

I have done several reviews for Starlooks Starbox subscription service in the past few months. I absolutely cannot say enough about how awesome it has been to get makeup treats sent to me on a monthly basis. Just to catch you up in case you have missed my past reviews, Starlooks Starbox is a monthly subscription service that includes 3-4 full sized makeup products. It often includes extra surprises as well! The cost for this awesome service is just $15 a month!

This month, subscribers could make their boxes semi-customizable by picking their skin tone (Light, Medium and Dark). Even though I have extremely light skin, I was sent a dark one because Starlooks wanted to make sure their subscribers got the correct ones and they ran out of light before they got to their reviewers. (did I mention Starlooks really takes care of their customers? I have seen them bend over backwards!) It was no biggie since I liked the colors and thought they could go with any skin tone. I am an eyeshadow junkie!

I have to be honest, I almost leaped for joy when I saw the box itself this month. It has animal print and I LOVE animal print. :)

This month’s box contained an eyeshadow palette that contained 4 interchangeable eyeshadow colors, a creamy lipstick and a mascara guide tool.

I tried to use the mascara tool and honestly couldn’t figure out how to use it. I did, however, use the lash comb on the bottom and it worked nice to make my lashes look longer and more separated.

I loved the lipstick. It looked darker than it went on and that was a good thing. It gave my lips the perfect shade and went on so creamy, I forgot it was lipstick! It felt more like a nice gloss or lip balm! My lips felt nice and moisturized. I could see why it was named “Tender gloss lipstick”! Mine came in the shade “pearl”.

The eyeshadow palette was so much fun to play with. I could see creating a wonderful day and night look with the 4 colors- Midnight in Magnolia, Void Echo, Coffee Bean and Hint of Rust. Here is the look I create using them. I used the Coffee Bean color on my eyebrows as a brow filler. I am also wearing the lipstick as well.

If all these goodies sound awesome to you, make sure you subscribe to the December Starlooks StarBox! You will get a 15 color eyeshadow palette (a $99 value!) for JUST $15! This would make an amazing gift for the makeup fan in your life! I would also highly suggest “liking” Starlooks Starbox on Facebook for makeup tips, reviews and sneak peeks at the next month’s box!
