I was given the opportunity to check out Gutzy Gear, a new line of products for children to decorate and personalize their school bags (or any bag for that matter!).
Gutzy gear is a nifty concept that is pretty basic. As a child, I love patches on my book bags and this is sort of the same basic concept. Gutzys are the patches that your kids can collect and trade with their friends. Gutzys are removable because they use high quality Velcro.
The Gutzy patches stick to the bag strap covers and the child can remove and move his or her patches around and even just create a theme.
I like them because they allow the child to be fun and creative, keep up with which bag is theirs, they are no-sew/iron and the straps also add an element of comfort to wearing straps on their little shoulders.
Now, I have to be honest, My 9 year old and her friend I gave these to did not like the patches too much. It could just be the packs we were sent for review or maybe its just not something they like at their age, but they did like the strap covers, oddly enough. I tend to think if they were given patches of their favorite characters they would have liked them more.
Gutzy gear is sold online on the website, as well as in stores and the patches are sold in packs of two for $5.99. They even come in character sets like Sponge Bob, Monster High, Spider man and The Avengers. The straps are $9.99
