Hemp and Milk Bath Bombs

Hemp and Milk Bath Bombs- These luxurious bath bombs will soothe tired skin and add back the moisture! It's a simple DIY bath bomb recipe, too!

I wasn’t sure if I could authentically call these bath bombs as they have nothing in them that will fizz. The fizz is something most people expect with bath bombs, after all. However, since they are something round you put in a bath in order to enhance it, I decided the name was still fitting. Rather than fizz, though, these guys melt.

These hemp and milk bath bombs are so luxurious on the skin. The scent of them is so earthy and calming, too. When I have had a rough day, I like to use these in my bath in order to really get some relaxation time.

The powdered milk in these provides skin softening in the way of lactic acid. Lactic acid gently works to get rid of dead skin.

Hemp seed oil has a lot of antioxidants in it and moisturizing Vitamin E, which can actually help with anti-aging. It also helps brighten tired skin. I like it for days when I spent a lot of time in the sun and my skin feels parched. It won’t clog pores, either, so it’s suitable for all types of skin.

Shea butter and Coconut oil are great moisturizers. Chamomile is an incredibly calming scent. I’m telling you; take a bath with these bombs and you won’t want to get out.

Hemp and Milk Bath Bombs

To make Hemp and Milk Bath Bombs, you will need:

2 Cups Powdered Milk

1/2 Cup Hemp Seed Oil

2/3 Cup Raw Shea Butter

1/4 Cups Coconut Oil

15 Drops Chamomile Essential Oil

Directions to Make Hemp and Milk Bath Bombs

Place the powdered milk in a bowl.

Create a double boiler with a glass jar (I like to use an old spaghetti sauce or mason jar) in a pot filled about halfway with water. Bring to a boil. Add the coconut oil and Shea butter to it. Stir gently until completely melted. Shea butter will melt last as it as a higher melting point than coconut oil.

Remove the mixture from heat with a potholder. place on a trivet and carefully add in the hemp oil, slowly. Add the mixture to the powdered milk. Add in your chamomile and gently fold in.

Using a spatula, make sure everything is mixed well and you have a good consistency. It should be like moist sand. The kind you would use to build a sandcastle.

Form balls that are about 1 1/2 inches in diameter or larger if you desire. the mixture might be a bit hard to work with. If it is, you may be dealing with too much moisture or not enough. If it’s too wet, add a tablespoon at a time of powdered milk and mix. If its too dry, add in a teaspoon at a time of hemp seed oil.

When you are ready to roll your balls out, lat them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow them to dry overnight. They may not get rock hard. This isn’t in error. I wanted them soft enough to crumble into water or melt fast enough.

To use, drop 1-2 bombs into warm water and enjoy. Use care when getting up as the oil can make your tub slick. Rinse your tub out well.
