With winter fast approaching, kiddies and adults alike love to indulge in a favorite: Hot Cocoa!
Hot Cocoa was first made when Holland made cocoa powder from the beans. Did you know that hot cocoa was made and enjoyed even before chocolate bars? Traditional hot cocoa is made with milk but you can mix this easy mix with milk or water, although I personally like warmed milk better.
Don’t spend money on the store bought type when you can make much more at home for less as well as fast with few ingredients! This special hot cocoa mix also makes a great gift when you pair it with some marshmallows and mugs!
To make this special mix:
2 cups dry milk
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup powdered sugar
Simply whisk all together in a bowl.To make, add 1/3 cup to 8 oz of milk or water, warmed up.
I save all my Parmesan cheese containers just for things like this. you can conveniently pour the right amount of mix to make a cup at a time, plus they make great gifting containers. Just add a few marshmallows to the top and tie with a pretty ribbon!
I’ve never thought about making my own hot cocoa before, but this is natural (as natural as it can get haha) and hubby would love it. Thanks for sharing!
