Cinnamon is a 6 year old Sheltie/Beagle mix we rescued from a kill shelter in 2007 when she was 1. Her previous owner surrendered/dumped her there for reasons unknown. She is a loving little girl that is always happy and doesn’t know a stranger.
Sugar is a 6-7 year old Rat Terrier mix that walked up to my husband in the IGA parking lot on a hot august day in 2008 and said with her sad eyes, “please help me Mr., take me home, I’m hot, tired, and hungry for food and love.” She was covered in fleas and ticks and you could tell she had been in the streets for quite some time. Fast forward 5 years. She is a happy, healthy, flea and tick free, loved Mommy’s Girl. Oh and she is a better mouser than the cats. (we live in the country surrounded by fields)
Trey about 12 year old female black cat. Found in 2000 injured in a field Her left eye hanging out and left front leg was almost torn off. The vet was able to save her bur she lost her eye and leg. She is so sweet and lovable and dosen’t let her handicap effect her at all.
DJ is about 10 he’s a brown/white tabby that followed my husband into our apartment in 2003 when we lived in the city. He was about 6-8 months old at time. We tried to find the owner. He is daddy’s boy but loves mommy too. Very loving and loves to carry on a conversations. He also gives sugars. He is a loverboy.
CeCe is a 7 year old brown tabby/tiger stripe. She was found abandon at about 2 weeks old in 2005 We fed her with an eyedropper until she was able to eat on her own. She us my tomboy girl. She loved to rough house with daddy. She’s the alpha female. And very loving too
Pooh Bear our only pet that is not a rescue. He is a 8 year old Big I mean BIG Tux. He weighs 20 lbs or more and it’s not fat. He is Trey’s son. She got out in 2004 got preggers before we got her fixed. Had 4 male tux’s we found homes for the other 3 and kept him. He was The runt. He is a big baby that lives to be loved on. His head is twice the size of treys.
And he uses it to ram you to get you to pet him. He is my silly boy.
And finally,
Miss Prissy she is about a 7 year old Grey/Blue/Tortie that showed up on our doorstep in 2006. She was very tame and is a lap cat. We did not know at the time but she was pregnant. Someone either dumped her or she got out. We found homes for the kittens. She is fixed now. She is a girly girl.
