As you can tell if you have been reading my blog for any amount of time, I love nail polish! I think it is a way I feel more ‘put togetherā and feminine.
Did you know you can make your own custom nail polish colors? You can even make one to match your eyeshadow! (My second beauty obsession!) This is also a great way to use up some of those broken eyeshadow palettes.
To make your own shade, you will need:
Clear polish (use just a top coat polish if you want a more matte look)
Broken or loose eyeshadow powder
A plastic tray to mix on (I use food container lids from sour cream etc for things like this)
1. Start by putting some loose powder on the plastic tray. Donāt get too carried away. This goes a long way!
2. Add a small amount of clear polish. If you are going for a more matte look, I use topcoat rather than clear polish and a matte shadow.
3. Mix together evenly.
4. Apply to your nails just as you would any other polish. This can be removed with nail polish remover when you are ready to change your look!
Try experimenting with different shades by using very shimmery powder, matte shadows and even adding glitter if you want. I suggest if you add glitter, you use the super fine kind. This will allow it to go on more smoothly.
