Nicomate {Review}

I am ashamed to admit, but I am my husband are smokers. I wish I had never started. I am sure most smokers say that. I, like many smokers I am sure, started because of a combination of peer pressure and teenage curiosity.

The bad part about it is, other than the smell, (which oddly enough I can’t stand), I like to smoke. I like the social aspect of it, I like the feeling of it. These two things make it so hard to quit, even though I have many more reasons to stop.

I had long wanted to try an electronic cigarette to see if I could slowly quit using one. I have been smoking for over 15 years. That is a hard habit to just give up. I was unsure about trying one because they are not very cheap. I probably shouldn’t even worry about the upfront cost of an e-cig because I spend a large amount of money on regular cigarettes (unfortunately).

Nicomate sent me one disposable e-cig to try out and give my honest thoughts on.

At first, I didn’t really like the taste of the Nicomate. It tasted kind of ‘chemicaly’. After a while, I didn’t notice the taste and found that I liked it more than smoking a traditional cigarette for several reasons:

* No smoke lingering in the air. This uses a water vaporizer and the vapor has no smell, is not harmful to others the way traditional cigarettes are.

* It lasted a while. I smoked on it for 3 solid days before it ran out. In the long run, this is cheaper than regular cigarettes.

* It took the “edge” off my cravings and I liked that it made me cut down on how often I wanted to smoke it after even three days.

* I could slip it into my pocket or purse

*It simulates the draw of a ‘real’ cigarette with the light that lights up on the end and the feeling of the vapor.

I think I will switch the e-cigs while I try to quit. This will probably make it easier because I can just use less and less and eventually not need it anymore. I recommend the Nicomate E-cig as I found it to be quality constructed and convenient.
