As long as I can remember, saltine crackers were my very favorite cheap snack. They seem to go with everything.I love how they give me my salt fix anytime I need it.
I was very excited to try Savory Saltines which promised to make my saltine stand-bys even better!
Savory Saltines is a packed of seasoning that you add to plain old saltine crackers with a little oil to make them really stand out and taste awesome!
The process was a little long for my liking. I was so excited to try them, I was antsy for them to fully marinate in the seasoning. To make the Savory Saltines, all you need is a bag, saltines, some oil (olive oil or canola is recommend) and the Savory Saltines Packet.
First you add the oil and the Savory Saltines packet in the bag and swish around to mix.
Next you gently add the saltine crackers.
To mix, make sure there is air on the bag and gently toss every 5 minutes for about 15 minutes. Place them in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
When you pull them out, they will be ready!

I did the full overnight waiting time and I think they taste absolutely wonderful. They have a slightly bitter taste mixed with a slightly spicy taste. They are definitely savory and kind of rich. I would suggest serving this with fruit to break up some of the oily residue they tend to leave in your mouth.
With Savory Saltines, you can be sure your side dish will be the hit at your upcoming holiday parties! You can buy the Savory Saltines packet online for $5.95 or use the tool on the website to find a store near you that carries it.
