10 Practical Uses for Dr. Bronners

I admit, I practically have a love affair for Dr B’s soap. I was hesitant to buy it at first because I am so frugally minded that paying more than a dollar or two for a soap was crazy to me. However, when I started using this wonderful stuff, I quickly realized just how amazingly versatile it was. I use it for everything from cleaning to beauty and even preserving pumpkins at Halloween! Here are 10 practical uses for Dr. Bronner’s soap.

10 Practical Uses for Dr. Bronner’s Soap

Shampoo- I use Dr Bronner’s on my dreadlocks to wash them, but anyone can use it. I have heard that you must rinse well, however, especially if you have hard water. It has been known to leave a film. I personally find that it gets my hair cleaner than anything else.

Soft Scrub- I use Dr. Bronner’s in my soft scrub abrasive cleaner recipe. I like the almond or citrus scents.

Body Wash- You can use it directly on your skin as a body wash and you don’t need much at all when you do. I suggest staying away from the peppermint for your lady parts, though.

Baby wash- Dr. Bronner’s makes an unscented mild formula called Baby Mild made just for baby.

Dental health-Use a drop of Dr. Bronner’s peppermint on your toothbrush instead of toothpaste. Make sure to rinse your mouth well.

Clean your Glass bake-ware- With a little bit of Dr. Bronner’s tea tree scented soap and a piece of aluminum foil you can have sparkling pans again. Check out this post for more info.

Dish soap- you can use just a tiny biut of Dr. Bronner’s soap to clean your dishes. Works great to break up grease.

Makeup remover- Make your own makeup remover wipes with some Dr. Bronner’s and coconut oil like I did for my Makeup remover wipes recipe.

Preserve your pumpkins on Halloween- Dr Bronner’s peppermint scented soap works wonders to keep your Jack-o-Lantern nice for longer.

Personal product wash- If you use a Diva Cup for your menstral cycles, Dr Bronner’s Baby Mild is perfect for cleaning it.

You can buy Dr. Bronner’s online on Amazon with the following links. Keep in mind that while this may seem like more than you would spend on soap normally, it does go very far! You only need a few drops in most cases and for most uses. I do get a kick-back if you purchase from these links, so thank you for supporting my blog by doing so!

Peppermint

Citrus Orange

Tea Tree

Baby Mild

Rose

Almond

Eucalyptus
